  • YES they are required to salute all Warrant Officers, and all Warrant Officers are referred to as MR. and that includes women Warrant Officers!
  • Yes...we are required to salute all officers and at times only for reporting purposes do we salute enlisted personnel....;)
  • As per AR 600-25 enlisted personnel are to salute warrant officers and refer to them as "sir" or "ma'am." However in practice WOs are generally referred to a "chief" and many who were once enlisted prefer not to be saluted by enlisted personnel except when protocol demands it.
  • Of course they are requires to salute WO's. They have earned it just like most other officers. They are treated just like regular officers, get the same housing as regular officers, because they are officers.

  • In the British military you do not salute N.C.O.s) non commissioned officers.And when you do salute an officer from Lieutenant upwards you are saluting his or her Queens commission.You do call a warrant officer or a commissioned officer Sir, or Ma,am.
