Why is the group called, "the Christian Right", when so few of its members act like Jesus and they're rarely right?

    Right as in conservative. Christian in that they feel they must impose their irrational beliefs on others.

    Don't take me wrong, all religions are bad in some way (with the possible exception of Zen Buddhism), just Christians seem to be the best at imposing beliefs on others.

    Conservatism is commonly referred to as the "Right" in which many christians belong. In the past twenty or so years christians have realized their political power and began asserting themselves within the Republican party. To become the "Christian Right".
