  • When your brake pads wear they often create grooves in the rotors. If you replace the old pads with new ones without having the rotors turned (meaning machined smooth) the new pads will conform to the grooves in the rotor and eventually cut them deeper. If the rotors are beyond the point of being able to be turned down then it could lead to actual brake failure.
