Prenatal vitamins will help your hair and skin health in the long run. From what I understand, it takes 3-6 months for ingested vitamins and minerals to make an impact on the appearance of your hair and skin. In the meantime get regular trims (4-6 weeks), don't over heat style, don't over process (color, bleach, perm, straighten), make sure you're using a salon quality shampoo and conditioner, and deep condition once a week. The better you treat your hair, the better it will look!

prenatal vitamins will not help you as much as, if its split ends there's no repairing them(im a cosmetologist) you need to cut them off. then if you have too much protein in your diet it can make your hair break off...too little can also make it fall out. if you hair is colored you should probably reconstruct it but be careful dont use too much for too long alot of reconstructors contain protein and too much as i said will make it brittle. eating healthy will help you dont need vitamins to do that. if you straighten it or blow dry it, any sort of heat, you should have a protective product put on it before you do that so your hair will not get damaged, and dont buy the stuff at the stores, go into an actual place to get professional products like sally's beauty store or something(that's the place we have close to me) and get something that will work for you, dont be afraid to ask, if you really need help go into a salon and ask for their opinion because i cannot see your hair i cannot tell you more than i already have.

it won't help the hair that is already there but it will help the new hair growing in be healthier.

My mom is a nurse and she's always said that prenatal vitamins were the best sort for anyone to take, whether you are pregnant or not.

The prenatal vitimans will help, and the hormones with the pregnancy will help too.....but after the baby is born, that is when your hair and everything else will begin to feel the drain of your baby!

Everyone else has given excellent advice... I just wanted to add that prenatals are VERY high in iron, and can make you sick to your stomach. If this happens and you want to keep taking them, take the vitamins with a big glass of water and a few crackers right before you go to bed.

Yes, the vitamins will improve your hair's health.
