  • you'll need two amps or you'll just burn it up. wire two subs into each amp, i'd suggest 2 500watt amps
  • There are several good ones on the market to purchase for your speakers. Be sure to invest also in a pair of hearing aids. You will need them later in life.
  • A 1600 watt pioneer amp would be the best. Its allways best to go with the same brand of amp and speakers because the watts would be the same because some amp is stronger than others.
  • this could be hooked up a number of ways, you could run 4 amps one to each seperate speaker they are called mono 1 channel amps you will need to get your self a capacitor for the battery and alternator as the amount of power would probably overwhelm your electrical system you could also run. 2 seperate amps for each set of 2 speakers you hook say about 1200 watts which would be about 600 watts to each speaker the 400 watts rms is the recomended wattage the speaker will work at but you could go up to 1000 watts but bigger is not always better you could also go with a 4000 watt 4 channel amp and hook each speaker to a seperate channel on the amp . if you have a basic knowledge of electricity and basic hand tools then i would say do it yourself. i would check out some websites for stereo equipment or car audio many of the sites have installation guides and helpful hints toward a good installation. i buy most of my stuff at etronics.com or http://www.cardiscountstereos.com you can compare prices and products i like to stick to names like panisonic or alpine or kenwood and pioneer you might think your getting a great deal on lets say a pyramid but it wont perform like the others if money is no object go with rockford fosgate they are one of the best in amps and things i run 2 double voice coil 10 in subs with a pioneer 1200 watt 2 channel amp in my full size blazer with an older panisonic am/fm/cd player. and im not really a hip hop guy im 45 years old but my kids think my stereo rocks they are teenage and early 20 oh yeah my subs are jbl rated at 300 watts to 1000 watts they are plenty bumppin at 600 watts each . i hope this helped happy new year
  • id choose a amp that can handle 1600 watts rms at the spacific ohm you are going to run on the speakers. that way you have 1600 watts at all times, a good 2 channel amp will do it. also a 1 channel amp will too. just make sure your amp can handle a low ohm. or you can get 2 amps and split the wattage between the four subs with 2 amps.
