  • you can only do this with some chipsets and built in VPUs. you have to change the setting in BIOS by hitting DEL, F1, F2, or F10 as soon as you swithc it on, it should tell you which one to hit. from then on i cant really guide you there are too many different BIOSes for me to put it all in this box only a few chipsets support this, even some that do dont allow you to change the setting at all. the only way of getting more memory in that scenario is to get a new graphics card or if you have a laptop deal with it or buy a new laptop.

  • Most of the time your system automatically configures it and a few computers will allow you to change the amount that is shared, if yours is one of them then go in to the BIOS setup and change it. EDIT: In some instances (depending on the Video Card, OS, Motherboard, and 3D software) adding too much shared ram can damper performance. In other situations disabling it will speed things up, while some systems may slow down if not enough memory is shared with the video processor.
