Most generally they sell them just under or right at 100,000 miles. Look on purplewave.com or govdeals.com for auctions. You can save much more than when they are sold on e-bay

Dont be so concerned. The police department have strict guidelines for maintenance that have to be met. Have you ever seen a cop car with even so much as a headlight shining at a bad angle? They go through inspections at least weekly, no doubt. Seriously. These cars are regulated beyond all belief. The police cannot enforce laws and regulations when their own vehicles violate them. Plus performance matters. Unless they are junked, and especially if the CITY is selling it or auctioning it, you can pretty much guarantee quality. After all, as a seller the cities reputation is on the line, too.
