Help answer this question below.
I sat on an awful lot of rugs that I thought resembled flying carpets and tried to get them to fly.
none... now i believe in all kinds!
I clapped when Tinker Bell was dying so she'd live..when Jimmy Stewart heard the bell in "It's a Wonderful Life" I believed Clarence the angel actually got his wings..my favorte genre of literature when I was young was Fairy Tales..I exhausted the library for all the fairy tales from different countries that had been translated into English..I believe in Unicorns as I write this. Magic is everywhere..you just have to be open to it! :) Happy Wednesday! :) ((hugs))
I beli8eved in 4 leaf clovers and I fervently searched for them especially when I played outfield in little league baseball.
Well I truly believed in fairy tales and was always sure those were the only ways to get my prince charming ...No wonder I couldn't come out of it ...my avtar says it all ...lol :) !
I believed in the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL. I still believe in that.
I was a Christian when I was a kid, but had figured out by the time I was eleven or twelve that dead people don't grow wings and fly around; that bushes don't catch fire and talk; that dead is dead; and that prayers are exactly like what are called "spells" if done by people from other religions.
I'm glad you told her it didn't work that way! I hope you explained to her that living things, even insects, feel pain and shouldn't be used for this kind of game.
This is a beautiful question. I believed in fairies and that they lived under mushrooms. I'd never kick a mushroom because I thought they were the homes of tiny magical creatures.
I just believed that there were such things as fairy godmothers who granted all of our wish... sometimes I still believe... Even as a grown up it is good to believe in a little magic now and then.
I believed in the gold at the end of rainbows.
i looked for the horns on horses that would make them be unicorns. i made my sister search for lepricans with me because i saw a rainbow... we lived in a place with a lot of clover. i once planted skittles because SOMEONE (my sister, she is older than me...) told me a rainbow would grow if i did. the rainbow never came. i believed that fairies lived under mushrooms so i checked under every mushroom i saw. oh and i stayed up all night waiting for santa claus once.
I still do believe in magic. But while around 6, i learned that you need to learn it. I did, now i'm all good.
Well there r types of magic as a little kid i used to think that if i said faries r dumb they would come and pull me by the ears and take me away

You're reading My daughter caught a butterfly today and was pondering whether or not she could fly if she took all of the "Magic Dust" off its wings. I had to explain that it didn't work that way. What kind of "Magic" did you believe in when you were a kid?

If I could conjure up one of them rugs I'd be down to see you faster than you could say "Alika-Zam!", Sugar.

Oh, wow! Alika-Zam ignited another childhood memory. My brother and I would stand in front of the doors in our house and say "open sesame" trying to get them to open without touching them. We were really bright kids, lol! Perhaps you could navigate the Pearl to Lafitte's Landing. That old pirate hangout is pretty close to me.

That just conjures up the Bugs Bunny cartoon with Daffy and the different versions of ali-kazam, alika-zoom, alikatzpop{Naw that wasn't one of 'em!} and such that Bugs was trying with different effects.
Most seemed disastrous for the duck.
