No, it is quite normal. The problem though at your age is could you handle the responsibility of rearing a child alone? It is better to wait until you are financially and emotionally stable enough to care for it. In the mean time, I would suggest you start taking birth control pills just in case you give into your urges prematurely.

Historically, women your age would be married and have children already. Nothing "weird" about it. However, as others have mentioned, there are practical considerations. Historically there was vary little divorce, people usually grew up, married, raised their families and died...all within the same small communities. So there was always plenty of physical and emotional support for mom, dad and the kids. Today things are different. You can have a baby with a father who will abandon you and have to support the kid(s) yourself. If you are very rich, or have a very rich family, that will help with the economics but you still have to deal with the emotional situation all by yourself. So, in the last analysis, you are the only one who can decide this.

OMG!!! thats odd cuz i feel the same way!!! im also 14, a virgin, and i have been wanting to be a mom so bad!!! i want to have little boys.. my names are already picked out and everything... i just want so bad to have my kids now but i want to be married and such... i dont want to have sex now or anything... i just want to be able to mother my very own boys... so i dont think you are weird, cuz i am the exact way!!! :)

I don't think it's weird. I knew I wanted kids from a young age. Based on the other answers I'd say it's pretty darn common.
