Question

Help answer this question below.

My s/o had a D&C and a laproscopic exam today. They discovered one very large and several small fibroids. She's not had consultation with the Dr yet. Can fibroids really be treated successfully with hormones or do they usually need to be removed?

    unknown

Unless they bother her, you don't need to do anything to them. There are also other choices like cutting off the blood supply to them to shrink them. Hormone therapy only works while you are own the therapy. If you stop it they come back. She can have have only the tumors removed too if they aren't too large.
