In February. I was in Bali with a friend who had never been before. She saw a guy putting pythons around tourists' necks for photos and decided we should do it.
It was not a pleasant experience. Apart from it being very heavy, I had its head, and it wanted to kiss me. Yeeeeaaachcchhh.
Last week, maybe 4 days ago.
Hmmnnnn ...Never have and probably never will :) !
Several years ago. One of my cats across a three foot Copperhead in my yard. Cats and snakes do not mix and I learned a long time ago that a cat will slap a snake to death. I went out to take a look and since it was "belly up", (and had small holes all over it from the cat's claws), I decided to satisfy my curiosity...they are beautiful snakes anyway. I picked it up, opened it's mouth to have a look at it's fangs, getting a really close look at it's colorful patterns, etc. I took it back to the house and stretched it out on a landscape timber and went inside to get my son so he could see it. We went back out and...it was GONE! Nowhere in sight. I only found out later that these snakes will PLAY dead when threatened. I make it a point now to leave snakes alone unless I am sure they are not poisonous...I no longer assume they are dead just because they are not moving.
That would be...let's see...NEVER. Don't plan on it, either. :-)
I have never even touched a snake. And probably, I never will.
I guess about 31 years ago when I posed with a baby python.
Long story short, I was then attacked by a cobra but because its mouth was sutured shut (I think), it wasn't able to bite me.
Never, ever.
Also, there are no snakes in New Zealand, where I love.
About 10 minutes ago I picked up my corn snake
At a bar; me and my former female friend were chilling out and we met a couple that had a boa.
I held the snake for a while and the snake was harmless and quite docile.
I eve petted his head a few times.
I was amazed at how peaceful the snake was.
It was a harmless garden snake about perhaps 4 years ago.
I picked it up for no apparent reason.
I pet one on Sunday. My friends nephew had a birthday party at a place called Prehistoric Pets and they have someone bring out a bunch of different animals and let kids and people at the party pet them.

Earlier this Spring, a Bull Snake found his way into my basement. He was cold and really groggy. I carried him to the cornfield out back.
Not too long ago, i captured a green grass snake in tall grass. Capture and release. It was a most interesting creature. it was thin as grass, about twelve inches long. It traveled between the blades of grass and not on the ground.
