there is no such thing as jewish sin and non-jewish sin. the bible clearly teaches that God sees all men the same, saved only thru Jesus Christ and wat he did FOR ALL MEN on the Cross. Jesus died for ALL SIN. he did not have a Jewish moment up there, then switch to a Gentile moment, then an African moment, then an Asian moment... etc in order to get to everybody's sin. HE DIED FOR SIN. what that means is Jesus gave His life as ransom to cleanse ALL MEN for ALL TIME from the failure inherent in them to keep the entire law of God- which was the 10 commandments as well as other laws of honouring and following God all a man's life. the bible says all men have sinned as a result of Adam's disobedience, becuz all men were present for all future generations in him and eve when they first were in the garden. a lot of people point to the RESULTS of sin and think thats it! We think sin is smoking, drinking, pre-marital sex, etc. yes it is all that, but in a very real way those things are outward manifested symptoms of a wrong heart belief and system that separates man from God by the things he does, says, thinks and desires. the bible warns us that sin ALWAYS begins as a heart condition where we willfully stray away from God, do our own thing becuz its what we want, and end up doing the physical things that people see wch displease God. Sin simply means "missing the mark"- just as if u took bow and arrow out to the range, spent all afternoon at it and just could not hit the bullseye in the middle. sin puts u off kilter, makes u deaf to what God wants or even says to you thru the bible and a million other ways he speaks to us. it literally kills the inside of a person, which is his spirit, and since God breathed ONE SPIRIT into adam in the garden, men have ONE SPIRIT whether Jew or Greek or slave or free or american or russian or whatever. it is HIS SPIRIT making each of us live and take steps and breathe, and when that spirit misses the mark, as everyone has done- sin is sin. it's all sin to God, he doesnt tag it any further than that. No, sin still exists. the best way i can put it is this: dirt is in the world, its everywhere, it gets in your face as you walk, in your nose as you breathe, in your mouth when you open it to talk. the dirt is what the earth is made of, and unfortunately is here to stay. HOWEVER, we humans have found something amazing that gets rid of dirt, wch is SOAP. so anyone sick of dirt in their mouth, clothes, hair and skin can leap into the shower, lather up with SOAP and get rid of dirt. sin is dirt, the Blood of Jesus shed on the cross as a ONE TIME RANSOM for sin, the soap. in the old testament, wch by the way one of your commenters could benefit from knowing, is what the entire practice of Judaism IS BASED ON- they call it the TORAH, wch is all the books of the OLD TESTAMENT including the books of the PROPHETS but excludes all teaching on JESUS as LORD wch is what the NEW TESTAMENT is all about incidentally. in the old days, before the coming of GRACE [wch is what God extended to men when He sent Jesus to die for sin] one had to keep on lathering up with SOAP, keep on jumping in the shower to take off the dirt. Always taking a sacrifice to the priest, always making an atonement sacrifice- with a bull, a goat, a sheep or if you were really poor, a dove which would usually be all you could afford. the Bible shows clearly that one of Jesus's many names is THE LAMB OF GOD. now why would that be? he came in human form, the bible says He was "The wod made flesh" so why call him a lamb? because when he died for sin- he took the place for all time of the bulls, goats, sheep and birds continually sacrificed for sin under the LAW. JESUS =s GRACE. so sin still exists, because you already know, not everybody uses soap. it's there all right, just like Grace is there all right, but not everyone avails themselves of it. you have sin in your life right up to the moment you confess Christ as Lord, and what God does is accept THAT sacrifice from your mouth instead of a bull or goat as your ONE TIME ATONEMENT sacrifice, and soap is given to YOU for ETERNITY. its interesting to note that one comment calls a truthful answer a "Christian agenda". if i may ask, if Jewish sin were somehow different from everyone else's- can i know how trangression of the ten commandments, wch are the key commands that have condemned ALL MEN to sinfulness- lets say pre-marital sex or coveting your neighbour's wife: do Jews covet what's not their's in a particularly different manner from other people? do they have different sex so that their sin becomes different from other's people's? i think not. i think the law of God is clear, straightforward and speaks unquivocally for ITSELF. it will not change if applied to a Jew's life or someone's else. the question for ALL men is did u or did u not live up to this standard? to whit- ARE U DIRTY? if your answer is no, not really, Im Jewish you see, we have a different sin quota this century, then its safe to conclude that sin as whole need not bother ANYONE because all they have to do is claim lineage or heritage and thereby escape the duty they're placed under by the commands of God. since we know this isnt posible, that God is THE SAME- God of Israel is also somehow God of Pakistan even though here on earth those two are enemies- well then, the WORD OF GOD proves itself true, and not the opinions of man, wch time and history has showed to be variable, prone to error and purely subjective according to who's in power. sin is sin for EVERYBODY, and Jesus is extended grace that only becomes OPERATIVE in your life when you accept the offer of grace, confess it with your mouth, and give it place in your life. one last example to clarify: you emerge from a desert two steps away from death by dehydration. you are so parched that your blood is singing in your veins, you're having hallucinations, and you can barely talk. clearly, you need WATER. it is brought to you, set before in a sparkling clear glass. beads and droplets of what you so desperately need are RIGHT THERE BEFORE YOU, yet you look at it, see what it offers but dont drink it. i ask you, will the water profit you? the answer's no, it wont. You'll perish right there in front it. your dehydrated status doesnt go away just because water's available, you need to drink it. likewise, when SIN of any type or kind has parched u dry of hope for your life, belief in yourself, and anything else that should really propel a person thru life, and they sit daily with grace available but dont take it, then YES, sin not only continues to exist, but takes it eventual toll- which as we are told for JEW and NON-JEW, is death. sin is not jewish law SG. the books of the new testament clearly show that sin is not a law, but an actual process thru whcih men by their choices cut themselves off from God. u believe that for the Gentile there is no sin, only born again or not born again. yet what does the word teach? that unless a man be born again, REPENT OF HIS SIN BY CALLING ON THE NAME OF JESUS WITH HIS MOUTH IN OPEN CONFESSION- he shall not see the kingdom of God. in the same biblical times that Christ lived in, were not the apostles shocked when God gave the gift of the Holy Spirit to the gentiles when they repented of sin and followed the teachings of both peter and paul? what must we do to be saved?! they cried out as peter preached, and they were saved, not from being "not born again" but from the consequence of SIN in all their lives, wch is separation from God. both jew and gentile [wch is the bible term used to describe every other race except the hebrews] are saved BY GRACE THRU FAITH. there is no other way to be cleansed of SIN, wch exists for ALL MEN. romans 10:8- 13 God did not create jew then gentile. God created MAN. all flesh of our nature- two legs, creative thinking mechanisms, opposable thumb, power of speech, car driving MEN. God walked wth this creation in the garden, leading and teaching and loving and fellowshipping with him as a son and steward. when SIN entered their hearts and caused them to disobey, there were no jews present. there was only MAN. ADAM wld later become the first descendant of what wld later be called the Jews, but many branches also sprang from adam- from him all races, colours and creeds were born. this is why he is called the Father of men, for he was the first man- God's first human son, father to ALL human sons. read the book of romans, esp Romans 5:6- 21. that explains in exquisite detail that all men, ALL MEN, anyone being born into the earth in the form of a man whether jew, gentile, anything- have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. all men thru their first father adam no mata HOW MANY GENERATIONS REMOVED from the time of the garden, have sinned. this is why Christ is sometimes referred to as 'The Last Adam'. the first adam lost our godly inheritance and eternal life, tht fellowship and "walking life's gardens" with God- THRU SIN. therefore the punishment of DEATH pronounced on him in the garden was upon all flesh, for the word says that all men were present in the womb of eve and the fatherhood of adam. that's jews and non-jews. this is why whether muslim, pkistani, african, chinese or jew- ALL MEN DIE IN TIME, physical bodies rot and depart, whereas in God original plan, man was to remain wth Him forever, in his exact replica ["let us make man in our image"] and God cannot DIE. even people who dont believe in God or Jesus die- they can ignore the bible all they want, but the punishment written there in black and white still finds them in time, becuz God is not a respecter of person. Christ calls himself "the narrow gate", The Way, truth and Life- ONLY BY ME shall men come to the Father He says. why? because until u confess Him and REPENT SIN, even now in your non-jewish or jewish state, there is NO OTHER WAY to retrieve the lost fellowship and relationship with God. what adam and eve lost, Jesus bought back wth his Cross. so now, in june 2008- whoever remains without the confession of faith by which ALL MEN whether jew, greek, gentile, slave or free are SAVED- that life remains in SIN. sin is not a law, it OPERATES under a law. that law says, if u cant uphold all God has set in the earth to please HIM, to attain that righteousness BY YOUR WORKS, u have sinned. u ever stole, u ever lied, u ever cursed your parents just ONCE- u have sinned, and failed to fulfill ALL THE LAW OF GOD. second- do u know u have done these things, even ONCE? u are a sinner. are u able to uphold the law of God in and of yourself. NO? then CALL ON CHRIST, thru whom ALL MEN are saved who will call on him, and he will come and live with u, Him and His Father with you, and u shall be saved. SG, it matters not what we personally believe- wat is important is seeing what is WRITTEN there for us to KNOW, that we wont be deceived or led astray by what we think it means. sin affects all flesh friend, any man walking Christ free whether jew or non-jew is under that law of God unfilled. any man walking Christ confessed is set free from the operation of sin, and may come thru repentance to God's throne and be cleansed of as many mistakes he will make til the grave, for Jesus was a ONE TIME SACRIFICE putting to death ALL WORKS OF SIN in a man's life. imagine if he had to keep climbing on that cross every time u got angry, or u swore, or u lied. impossible. that was the OLD WAY, u sin, u bring a goat, u sin big, u bring a cow, u sin, u bring a lamb. he was a ONE TIME LAMB for ALL SIN, and all man need do now is accept the free gift of righteousness [which means re-instatement of right standing and being justified with God again], wch Jesus gives. hope its clearer now, take care.

sin is sin for Jew and Gentile.. if we ask forgiveness from a sin and still worry and harp on it (carry guilt) then we aren't forgiven...you ask in CONFIDENCE that you will RECIEVE what you ask for; help, forgiveness, health, food, etc... example: Hannah asked God for a son, in CONFIDENCE..her behavior was totally different, she stopped weeping, ate, and no longer depressed.... and God gave her SAMUEL..and more..... God does not see color nor nationality...sin is sin, wrong is wrong......
