Question

Help answer this question below.

Now that my house is for sale, the realty agent asked me to clean up the "clutter." It is a scientific principle that matter cannot be destroyed - I can move it around, but it will still be in the house. What am I to do with it?

Your realtor is only trying to get you the best offer for your house and that is what you want. Sometimes it is hard to do things we do not want, but it just depends on what we want more.
As already commented, potential buyers want to vision their own items in the house and this is virtually impossible if the house is packed full. I watch alot of HGTV;home shopping shows (designed to sell, etc.)and they always show you what to do to make your house more appealing for sale. Maybe watching these shows would give you some ideas that will work for you.

With your handicap, have you checked with any local agencies to see if there are possibilities of volunteers to help you out.

    Good luck---

Put personal items like pictures, mementos, and knick knacks, in storage, that's what they mean. Clutter looks messy to potential buyers.

When they walk into your home they need to imagine it as their own. when they see all your things it's harder for them to imagine.

Decluttering and homestaging your home prior to putting it on the market has proven to help sell your home faster. You can call a portable storage company like 1-800-PACK-RAT and they can deliver a portable storage container directly to your driveway. You can fill it at your leisure and then they can take it to one of their climate-controlled warehouses while your home is on the market. Once you sell and/or move you PACK-RAT container can be delivered to your new home. It is a simple solution to a complicated process. Visit http://www.1800packrat.com for a free quote. Hope this helps!
