As a catholic we belive in satan but we worship the almighty[I have walked through hell during combat and it is not a nice place to be]I'll bagg ya out did not take this question as rude
-
As Catholics, we don't believe God created Satan. We believe that one of God's angels fell and he was Satan. We believe that God did not create pain and that God does not punish us. Although he doesn't punish us, he does challenge us. Also, we know that Hell does exist, for Jesus did go to it before coming back to Earth and He told us about it. Why would we worship Satan if he is the source of everything that is bad in this world -- of pain, evil, etc.
-
Look at what God has done. Look at what Satan has done. It doesn't take an idiot to know that God is the One who is worthy to be praised.
-
i don't get the logic here. 1. God created pain and Satan (and blueberries). 2. Pain is bad. 3. Therefore, don't worship God. (the creator of pain) 4. Instead, worship Satan. (why? because you have to worship something and the first candidate has been eliminated?) (by the same logic, why not worship blueberries?)
-
I do not worship Satan because i do not want to go to Hell. I do not worship Satan because he is an evil being. I do not worship Satan because I believe that God is is my creater, my salvation, my provider and so much more. I do not worship Satan because God tells me i should'nt.

No offense taken. This is a good question. Catholic teaching is that God (the creator) created a Satan as a good angel, let's call him Lucifer. Lucifer, was created with a free will (intellect and ability to love). When tested, Lucifer made a decision (exercise of the intellect) to love Himself (exercise of the will) more than God. Lucifer made himself evil by abusing his free will. For this, he was cast into hell and we now call him "Satan". See the Book of Revelation for what many believe is Biblical collaboration of this. Catholics believe that God alone should be worshiped, and no creature (not the Blessed Virgin Mary and certainly not Satan). God did not create the concept of pain. Pain is the privation of the good and the result of sin. However, God can bring good from even the worst evil that should come about (reference the Crucifixion of Christ which is Deicide) -- this does not mean that he always will bring about good from evil and certainly not always on our timetable.

As a Christian, I believe that He did not create pain. Satan did that one. And yes God created him. But Satan tried to take over so God placed him in hell, where he took over there. Atleast that is my whole understanding of it...that Satan was the one that creating all things evil. You could probably go talk to a pastor or priest about that whole thing and they could give you a better answer to it though.

Even if Satan was the nicest creature in creation, the point is: he is created. Why would you worship a created being and not the Creator?
-
Satan may be a deity of some sort, but he's not the all powerful one, and in The Bible it does say that thou shalt have one God only, and that god is God lol. I'm not a person of religion though, but it seems to make sense why Satan isn't worshiped.
-
Why do you assume that a "person of religion" has only the option to worship on or the other entity that you name "God" or "Satan" - There are many religions that worship different entities, many more than one, and even religions that do not acknowledge any deity. This is typical Christian myopia
-
Not all religions involve worshiping any God. Buddhism is one such example.
-
i believe in god, i just think he could be a little smarter, a little more efficient with his time...

For what it's worth, there's a concept that the only thing God created is Love which manifests on the physical plane as Man (Sons of God) or "expressions of God". Being aspects of Himself, man creates what he will (free will); so technically, it is man who creates the world as we know it. Sin, it is explained, is the belief that man is separate from God; evil, pain, misery, etc. the illusory manifestation of man's belief there in separation, or that which is other than God (Love). Author Neale Donale Walshe illustrated this concept through the "Parable of the Little Soul" in his book "Conversations With God." http://masterderyk.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/the-parable-of-the-little-soul-and-the-sun/

my friend you live with satan and i will lilve with god then you may know
-
no offense taken, never stop asking questions. looking at what God has done for me, and looking at what Satan has done to separate me from God, I believe that I am in the right to do so
-
Because Satan don't exist!!
-
I think you just answered your own question...
-
Technically, God didn't create Satan. Satan is a fallen angel. Job was not tempted by God, he was tempted by Satan. God did not created the pain that fell upon Job, Satan did.
-
I don't believe in satan. But I do have a cat named Lucifur. I do believe in him w/all my heart.
-
I don't worship Satan because, when you look at what he wants for us, that which he entices us to do, you find that what he wants for us is misery. Satan's ways ultimately lead to pain, suffering, hatred, anger, war, and destruction. However, if we follow what God wants for us, it will ultimately lead to great joy. Following God's commandments protects us from most of the negative aspects of mortality. If everyone were to follow these commandments, then we could eliminate all of the strife that mars human interactions. Add to this the fact that God has promised a continuation of existence in His loving presence for all eternity if I do as He has asked. Satan has made no such promise. So, I will stick with worshipping God.
