use the peoper cooking apples, not the usual ones you would have for lunch

According to mom it does, but she always told me to wear clean underwear when I went out in case I got into an accident, so what does she know?

I like to use ordinary red delicious apples for pie. They have a great flavor and texture when cooked.

- I always thought that you were supposed to use green apples but you can't get cooking apples in Japan. Sometimes you can get cooking green papayas but I think that would be very difficult to make an apple pie out of.
