Once. Most states only allow driving school ONCE every two years. Driving school basically dismisses the ticket so that it is NOT on your record at all. You can't just go to driving school if your not eligible. meaning if you've already gone in the last two years, and it wouldn't take multiple times to clear if off your record.

Each state is different and varies depending on your past driving record and the seriousness of the violation. In Tennessee, for a minor traffic violation, you can attend various defensive driving classes for three occasions. Again, for example, a reckless driving citation, involving an accident and bodily injury, would be treated entirely different than the above described minor violations.
