  • Not in the U.S., We are a powerful demographic of voters.
  • I don't believe it will ever be outlawed because cigarettes, cigars, etc are big industry in the world economy.
  • I think the real question is "Will marijuana ever be legalized?"
  • I think the US has a moral conflict over this because tobacco played a large and important part in the history of the United States. The United States also enjoys money from the taxation of tobacco products.
  • I guess not, because many people enjoy smoking. The government also get a lot of tax from this industries.
  • I've thought anout this and what I think is that if it is completely outlawed, it will kind of dare people to do it. Drugs are outlawed, but you hear about people making and selling them all the time. It might be in the country's best interest not to outlaw smoking
  • I think the answer to that is no. They can regulate it, and have non smoking clubs, bars and the work place. But they will never stop anyone from smoking in their home or vehicle.
  • Hmnnn... From the way things are going I would say it is a possibility in the distant future. In australia, bending to public pressure, they introduced bans in public areas including bars and clubs. I think smoking is simply bad manners, because whether they like it or not, people around you are suffering the ill-effects of your choice to smoke. Whether it will be completely Outlawed, Hopefully. Stopped completely? Can't see it happen. It's a fight between the Non-smokers(General Public) vs. Smokers, Government and Tobacco Industry. It's the typical Power vs. People struggle.
