  • Focus, analyze the situation and define the problem, if you can and if its safe to do so involve Brains so you have more options or ideas to go for, sometimes the obvious could be the best answer. just select the best idea.

  • Depends on how big the problem is, how long it's been developing, who's involved, how many areas are involved, are we going to handle it ourselves or bring in outside help... and does the press know yet...? ;-)
  • From off the top of my head; identify the real problem, consider all options, consider the consequence of each possible solution, choose the solution, execute the solution, then follow up. This is what I loosely remember from college supervision class.
