How do can I reset the oil change indicator on my 1986 BMW 535i car?

The procedure is the same for all BMWs of that vintage. If you follow the directions in the following link (carefully!), you should have no problems.

change the oil, if you already did, its your senser its automatic

- Sorry. This answer is incorrect. There is a procedure with a special tool (or a jumper wire) that must be followed.
