  • I assume you’re asking why “its [sic] such a big deal if a man” wears women’s clothing, and I suppose the answer to that lies in the history of a patriarchal society. I’ve heard the argument made that since men have traditionally had a higher social status, then by wearing men’s clothing, women are elevating themselves to that status; but when the converse is true, the man is *lowering* himself to the traditionally lower status of the woman. Realistically, though, I’m guessing a more accurate answer would be the reasons people have for doing these things. Since women’s clothes can take virtually any form, most women that wear men’s clothing aren’t trying to make a statement by it. My wife, for example, has quite a few men’s T-shirts, but who would ever know, unless they looked at the tag? Contrast this to the man that wears women’s clothing, and he’s almost invariably making a statement about his perceived sexual identity.
  • Because the election is over and now they need to sensationalize us with something he/she will go away when paris choses her new bff
  • Caust they want to sell story or get people to watch their show.
  • Because they are idiots...and because we encourage that kind of bullshit reporting by buying the papers they print it in. Every expectant mom should manly-up and sensationalize the birth so they can pay for the delivery with the appearance fees.
  • I'm so glad somebody posted a question about this. Something about this whole thing has really been bothering me. The pregnant person was born a woman. Had a sex change operation and then legally became a man. Legally married a woman. Yet, chose to retain the part of a woman's body that makes her a woman. While I really have no problem with TG, I do have a problem with someone claiming that they are, and yet they retain the one thing that makes them different than the other sex!
  • I agree: This is totally due to the media (particulary the Oprah show) for sensationalizing this so-called mystery which a grade-6 student could figure out... This "man" isn't even a complete transsexual, he still has a uterus and female genitalia, so - breasts or no breasts, facial hair or no facial hair - "he" is still a woman.
  • It's easier to spin a lie into a story. And I think the audience has gotten dumber, so because they have, they got away with dumbing the whole concept down to "Man hd baby" instead of "Woman who is currently changing into a man who also has all of her female reproductive organs intact has baby."..not as interesting is it?
  • Answerbag took away my question and replaced it with this one which is completely different...
