As little as your employer will allow and as loosely fitting as feasible without it getting in your way. When I worked for AT&T I'd wear slip-on shoes, no socks, shorts, and a tank-top when I worked off-shift or weekends. During my regular shift (weekdays) I'd wear shoes, no sox, pants (that's a preemptive inclusion ;)), and a sleeveless shirt. Is your office air conditioned?

anything white, always looks smart and fresh, if you have a tan thats a bonus :) A floaty cool white cotton skirt or dress, accessorised with a belt and shoes or sandals in a strong colour.
