  • I can't really see your situation. Can you elaborate that a little more? Are you saying you feel resentment because your effort hasn't paid off?
  • Here is more info for those who need it: This guy used to be my best friend, but within the past couple years he stopped e-mailing first, calling, or inviting me to things. He always e-mails back, and seems pleased when I call, and usually makes an effort to come to things I've invited him to, but I'm sick of being the initiator all the time. I have talked to him about this, about five times now. So I'm wondering what my other options are. Should I just forget him altogether, should I give him the silent treatment and see what happens, or should I keep trying to keep our friendship alive? He WAS a good friend, before. He's been busy, but isn't now and I was expecting a change when school ended. In the near future, I'm wondering if I ought to invite him to my next party. I'm inviting both his sisters, and I've always invited him as well, so it might be a little odd if I don't, but at the same time I'm tired of dealing with this.
  • Me personallly, I would just leave it. Maybe invite him to your next party but that`s it. If he is a real friend he will come back. Maybe he just needs time apart from you to realize what a good friend you really are.
