How do I use Finale Workbook to write in 4 parts? When I use it, it showsw incorrect stemming of notes. The Alto part should have a stem down but does not have one in finale workbook. Is there a setting that will let me write in 4 parts?

    In the bottom left corner of the finale window there are 4 buttons labeled 1-4. The one that is depressed shows the current layer you are entering notes in. Each staff can hold up to 4 layers, layers 1 and 3 stems up, layers 2 and 4 stems down. However the stems will only point down if there is more than one layer in a staff. You can also use the stem-splitting tool, but I think that only comes with the complete edition of Finale.
