Digitally recorded video is admissible in a court of law. Typically once the video is presented the defendant will generally attempt to plead out, the old saying a picture is better than a thousand words comes to mind. In the security industry, video that is recorded is generally watermarked in each frame that is captured for authentication purposes so that a seperate software can be run and verifies that the video has not been tampered with, it is actually easier to alter video from a video tape then it is on a digitized image.
