No. The rules of email (RFC 822 for the technically minded) require that every email has a Date included in it. I am pretty sure that Google are not going to break RFCs; that would be regarded by most Internet gurus as "doing evil", which Google's corporate charter explicitly forbits. Given that the email contains the date, you have no way of forcing the receiver's mail reader, whether it is GMail or something else, not to show it.
Today (Nov 1) suddenly I'm unable to use these features of gmail - compose, reply/forward or retrieve contacts list
