By that, I suppose you mean 'can we be conscious in a dream'. Yes. It's called lucid dreaming, and it is a self-taught method. You can look it up online.
The first excersise they usually tell you to do is to find a cue. Imagine, say, an apple. Nothing else, don't get a scene. Just imagine seeing an apple in your head and associate it with knowing you are in a dream, tell yourself that when you see an apple in your dream you will know you are in a dream. Then, when you are eventually dreaming of an apple (which should happen if you think about apples enough), and you see an apple, you will know you are dreaming and can consciously control your dream from there. Just don't wake up :P
Kind of defeats the whole 'dreams mean something oogy boogy' thing, though; the fact that we can control them. Have a go though, let me know how it turns out for you. I tried, but I kept forgetting to remember my object lol.
