your questions that past couple of days indicate that you are being heavily trolled. Can I suggest that you stop asking questions about it, that only eggs them on.

Do they have souls though? Yes.

Yes they have souls that feed from others' pain. You however don't have to feed them. Your best weapon is not to feed them with your emotion. If you are hungry and cant get food at the bank, will you go to the bank for food? NO...so here is my advice.

Everything anyone ever says to you is rarely ever really about you. Take nothing personally. If someone doesn't like what you have said or done, its more about how they are feeling and what they expect of you. You cannot be responsible for how people feel, just like I can't be responsible for your state despare. I grew up in a belief that you have to be aware and consider other peoples feelings, which I still believe. For instance, my wife is going through some difficult moments now, and her patience with me is limited. There is nothing I can do to change her feelings, however I can be aware of them and know that her feelings are not about me even though they are directed at me. And at first knee jerk reaction is to be offened... I can't do that...cause its not about me. People who get offended of what you say or do are only reacting to their experience in life and thats all they have to draw upon. Thats all we know. So your comments, no matter what it is will have thousands of different reactions because there are thousands of different experiences out there. Millions!!!! Just remember, its not really about you.

There's a great German term = schadenfreuder (sp?), meaning someone who gets off on the misfortune of others. This seems rather commonplace. I just view it as a disorder of character, understand that negative emotional reaction just fuels this dynamic, and simply ignore it.
Good luck and don't throw the baby out w/ the bathwater, e.g., there's plenty of cool folks too!
