When I taught high school there were lots of times I had to enforce rules that I completely disagreed with. I had to send kids to the office for wearing shirts with cartoon guns printed on them. I had to write a child up for being tardy to class 3 times in 10 days because he physically could not make it from one side of the school to another in the allotted time. I once had to give a student a zero on a major test he missed due to a suspension he received when he got into a fight defending a retarded kid being made fun of by dumbasses. I really could go on. I loved teaching, but couldn't handle enforcing the stupid rules.
