Why do I keep getting returned e-mails from Mailer-Daemon on AOL that is not mail I ever sent from my screen name?

    This is often caused by spamming software. Some spammers could use your id as the orginating address for unsolicited email. Most of the IDs they might have in their db might be non existant. So when the mail reaches the Mailer-Daemon of AOL, it tries to send it to an id that doesn't exist and when this happens it bounces back the mail to the orginating address which is your id.

    Another possibility is that the the returned mail itself might be a fake one. Since it could contain attatchments, they could be used to transmit worms.
