Help answer this question below.

Can someone clarify this contradiction for me:

"... I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." -- Genesis 32:30

"No man hath seen God at any time..."-- John 1:18

    John's account can more acuratly be described as No man has ever fully known God. He was trying to get across the deity of Jesus, not deny the fact that men had never seen partial manifestations of God.

    That's a good question, I may have to ask for clarification. It says that Jacob physically wrestled with God, so it would seem god made himself flesh for Jacob.... so I have no idea. To think God came to Earth for a wrestling match... most of Genesis doesn't make sense to me anyway.
