  • You can copy the text and paste it into a wordpad document (assuming you can get the "word" document open)...
  • I would 'select all' the text in the Word file, 'copy' it all, open Wordpad and 'Paste' the text into the new document. You might also be able to open Wordpad and 'Open" any file in Wordpad.
  • From Microsoft Word, you could save the file with File Type Rich Text Format. After this, the document can be opened with Wordpad. However, it the default application for RTF files on your computer could be MSWord. In this case, after you close the file, change its extension from RTF to WRI. It should open with Wordpad after this. You could also open the RTF file with Wordpad and save it as RTF and at the same time give it a WRI extension.
