Vincent van Gogh made art.. because this is how artists express themselves..

There is no reason why any artist creates the pieces they do..

If you feel a need to create something.. you will create it.. but it won't be called art to you..

but to somebody else.. they may call it beautiful.. and to them, it is a piece of art..

IF you can express your feelings.. to feed yourself.. then most artists will live that way..

but really.. the Work itself by any artist is not (or should ever be ((IMO)) intentionally FOR money.. it was for a sense of freedom..

and that sense of freedom is worth more than any meal..

Some people have art in them like the masters like Da Vinci. And when Vincent got an idea he went with it and made it. So people are born artists and they can't help but draw and paint. AVS426 is right artists don't think of their art as art they think of it as an idea. Not just cash on canvas.

Just because you don't think your that good at drawing doesn't mean you can't get better. i used to draw stick men and soon im getting my own gallery on a site.

Don't just look at art if it gives YOU an idea take it and make something beautiful from it!
