  • i read it. i didnt really like it. there was a similar one about an ape or a monkey that i liked better but i cant remember the name. i think its important to read the real philosophers, but i guess not everyone is going to do that, and that they definately wont without some kind of introduction like this to them. but it disturbs me when people read this and then think they've done philosophy when theyve only scratched the surface. you know what socrates says... (this doesnt mean that i think this is you. just that its something ive noticed in the past)
  • I started, but got bored and dropped it half way through. I had already read most of the philosophy in it, and found it both before and in Sophie's World to be pretentious bullshit.
  • I really liked Sophie's World- I read it going into middle school and it really got me thinking about pretty much everything. I consider it to be an introduction to some basic philosophical concepts, but I started taking philosophy classes because of it. :)
