If a chicken hatches and its black does that mean its going to be a black chicken or can it grow into a different coloured chicken

It's going to be black, most chickens that are born black are just thrown into the dumpster with the dead chicks, for there is no market for them.

There is no telling what it will be like if it doesn't have any feathers yet. The down could be black, some have yellow tummies, some have stripes, some are brown with strips. It could end up being all black or partially, even two-toned. You will have to wait until you see the real feathers grow out in a few weeks. And even some hens are differently colored than the roosters, so there is even more variations.
