IS IT LEGAL FOR THE POLICE IN THE STATE OF VIRGINIA TO SHOW AN ALLEGED ASSAULT VICTIM THE SUSPECT'S PICTURE IDENTIFICATION CARD BECAUSE THE VICTIM COULD NOT DESCRIBE THE SUSPECT TO THE POLICE?

    the suspects photo may be shown to the victim as long as there are several other photos of persons who resemble the suspect. This is called a photo-pack which is compiled by the investigating officer to show the victim in attenpt to have them identify the suspect.

    Is this all there is to this case? many factors may be involved here, they you have not included. like, how long after the crime was the photo shown? how far away from the crime scene was a suspect stopped and then the photo shown?

    The general rules of lineup procedure, include at least five photos of people in similar clothing, gender, weight and race.

    I feel there was more to this photo showing, than has been given here.
