Help answer this question below.

I am wearing a navy blue dress to a wedding. I was thinking of wearing navy pumps w/ it and then adding some more color w/ jewelry. Now, though, I'm wondering, do you think I could wear brown shoes and maybe a brown beaded necklace to tie it in?

    Yes- I think a kind of rich brown with perhaps some wooden or glass brown beads would look nice. #too much navy can make you look a bit like you're wearing a uniform.

    Stick to the navy pumps. It will look much better than brown. Using a different color with the jewlery will be a very nice touch. Even go with some sheer navy pantyhose to tie it all together.

    Navy dress with navy shoes...and colour for an accessory. Depending on your neckline, a swath of silk chiffon in yellows and oranges....or multi-coloured floral....turquoise and navy and purple look smashing together.....
    Or
    navy dress and pumps with a light jacket in white with navy polka dots....with a multi-coloured purse with necklace and earrings which pick up one of the colours in the purse.

    I don't think brown shoes would look good. Navy or black shoes and maybe some silver are gold but i think silver jewelry would look the best.
