  • It would depend on what power rating of the new system is, and what the impedance rating of the outputs are. If the new system is around the same output as the old one, and the impedance is the same, then yes, you can use the same speakers. If the new system is more powerful than the old system, or the impedance is lower, then no, you would want to have the speakers that properly match the new system.
  • Most likely. The impedance of speakers in most packaged stereos are 8 ohms, and nearly any stereo can handle an 8 ohm load. Just buy a new stereo with a similar power rating.
  • Almost certainly. Brand names mean nothing to electrons. They only care about power and impedance. Both of which should be on the label on the magnet of each speaker.
  • Speakers have been mostly of the same design since invented and are interchangeable regardless of brand name. The only thing needed when mixing and matching sets is the resistance... calculated by measuring the ohm, represented by the omega symbol. Measure the value with a multi meter. Typically house speakers are 8 and car speakers are 4, but there are many exceptions. Check the manual of the stereo to see if they are compatible whith the measured value! hope this helps
