People who like the sound of their own voice. I had a boss like this and he relished in scheduling meetings at ridiculous hours 0630 on Monday and 1600 on Friday were his favorites. Ughhh. Mind you, this guy slept on his office couch and sent out e-mails at 0330. . .on SATURDAY!

Hey Someguy....Ok I know this wont be popular, but I do. I try to get there as early as possible, but it is the end of the week, so we meet to go over what has been accomplished during the week and what should be accomplished for the following week. One good thing is that these dont take very long!!!!!

Given the specific content of your question I'd say that your boss does. ;) Other than that, I guess someone who's sociopathically lonely. Perhaps this person would be a people collector who kept their "companions" or "subordinates" in their basement if they didn't have managerial powers.
