I agree that you didnt time it right or you couldve even had a reaction. The color will naturally fade and grow out on its own, if you decide not to got to a salon for a quick fix. This actually happens alot to people who decide to go very light even tho you werent very dark to begin with. You should try a violet shampoo but it wont completely make it better, it will only maybe fade it a little bit. good luck
Ive ha so many home coloring disasters, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! lol, the orangey color will fade, grow out and look better, but your best bet(if you cannot wait) is to go to a salon. Also try using a blonde shampoo and condition those roots! Cuz I know they are dry
DON'T use the violet stuff! It will turn ashy! Believe me!
I am a blonde who has colored for years, but recently stopped because my hair gets so brittle from coloring. I use Sun-In now, and it feels and looks better.
I agree with another poster - go to a salon and get them to work on it. By trying more things at home your hair could become really coarse and brittle, and cause more problems.
Walk out proudly and start a new trend. Then weep when nobody is looking.
choose a ash shade of blond.
NO! Stop, don't put anything else in your hair! It sounds like either you have tried to die your hair too many times, or your hair is just too fine to take such colouring! Well, there is a way of getting rid of it, which is to strip the hair back. This will get rid off all the colour, but your hair will be damaged. It's fixable though! Leave your hair alone after it is stripped down for a few months, and give it a rest and take care of it, then it should be ok to try again. Go to a salon to get it stripped though, and ask exactly how long and what you should do before you dye it again! (Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, one poor girl came in my local hairdressers with green hair where she had tried to dye it ginger to blond to black! Bless her she was getting married in a week!)
You picked up the reddish tone from not timing it enough. The fastest safest way is to remove all color from your hair and then use a color toner to get back to the color you desire. TRying to "fix" it will just cause uneven coloration, and perhaps damage the hair itself. The chemicals are too harsh to play around.
My hair is blonde and i have not exactly dyed it but it has many different colors in it and i have been trying to figure that out too. I think you should try sitting out in the sun. It actually helps a little bit.
A toner would do the job excellently at evenining out the brassiness.. I'm a hairdresser so I do know what I'm talking about.. you can buy a toner at any salon supply shop or even sometime online..
Toners take the brassiness out of hair, you mix some cream with peroxide and just massage it into your head like you would a shampoo and leave for a few minutes... the rinse off and condition as normal... it should rid the brassiness and leave you beautiful and blonde :)
Your local hairdresser or the workers at the salon supply shop will advise you on what shade toner to use! Good luck! :)
