You are NEVER too old to try something new. Seriously. If you WANT to learn to ride horses, then DO it. Why care what other people think or say? You have one life. Fill it up with fun things. Go ride horses and feel free and enjoy the wind. Many people don't have the money until they're older to learn to do stuff like that, or go canoeing or mountain climbing. You are not alone. Riding horses isn't innate, it is aquired. Being able to 'communicate' or 'talk with' horses is innate; not required for riding. Go have fun. You don't wanna look back when you're 80 and think "I wish I learned to ride horses"

i know someone who learned to ride at 40, dont let your age restrict you dont just give up on things because you think your too old. you wont know if you dont try

Anyone can learn if they are dedicated and have proper instruction from an experienced instructor.

Not at all. MY mother learned to ride when she was 31 and did quite well. How far you go or how good you become depends on your drive and love of doing it. Yes, some have a gift but most just love horses.

Almost anyone can learn how to ride and as long as you can sit astride a horse you are not too old to learn

I'm in my thirties and learning to ride, having taken a few lessons when I was younger. It's difficult, but an absolute joy when you get it right. But it's not really like learning anything else: some rides are good, then you have one that makes you feel like you are back at the beginning. Some people have body shapes that make it a little easier and some people have more confidence around horses, but almost anyone can benefit from spending time with these amazing creatures.
