I've had my lower lip pierced since January. It continues to periodically get irritated and there's minor discharge. Any ideas what to do? Right now I'm using Bactine every morning and sometimes peroxide.

Don't use peroxide, it is far too strong and does more bad than good. Any healing that your piercing has done gets eaten away by the peroxide.

I was using peroxide on my belly button ring until i was told otherwise and it healed right up. I was told to use non-iodized sea salt...so yup...:)

Welllll I'm not sure but I just now I have my Belly button peirced and it kept getting irritated for a while because I was changing the bar to often. If you don't let it heal that it keeps getting irritated and now the peice of skin on my tummy that is peirced is very small. When it gets infected or irritated it means the skin is rejecting the peircing and it will try to push it out of your skin.
Try getting a stearling silver stud or gold plated.
