i think i could see dating anyone being an extreme sport, i wouldnt single out just the ugly people.

The only 'ugly' people I know are those who are ugly on the inside. It would be easy to get involved with one of these people, because their ugliness is 'hidden' behind a nice face. On the flip side, someone that you might not find physically attractive, could and might be the greatest person you could ever date. Too bad most people make their dating decisions based on the superficial qualities.
