Do super beetles have power steering? i want one as my first car, i know that they are manuals, i can drive one, but i was just curious. i've heard bad things about super beetles and it's hard to do power steering..

They're fun little cars, but I'd suggest getting something of a newer car for your first. Most classics, such as the super beetles, are death traps. I know I would be a smear on the pavement if my first car had gotten into a wreck with me in it... probably your best argument with your parents in hopes of getting something newer

I doubt it. The Super Beetles only have 40 hp. Luckily, you don't really need power steering that much in a Beetle.

I OWN A 71 SUPER BEETLE AND NOPO IT DOSNT HAVE P/S. BUT IT IS SO SMALL AND LITE WIEGHT YOU REALY DONT NEED IT AT ALL. MINE IS FOR SALE RIGHT NOW.

Ah the ignorace abounds today.... "death trap" HA! No Super Beetle, actually, none of the classic beetles have power steering. In order to have power steering you must have a pump. The pump generally runs off of the engine and provides hydraulic pressure, but the engine in the VW is far in the back making it very difficult to have power steering. The steering is very light as it is a light car. It is much easier to turn when moving....so keep that in mind...
