Help answer this question below.

My son has a bad cough and is 6 months old I wasjust wondering if anyone has any suggestions on home remedies.

    vicks vapor rub on my 6 month olds chest and steam work for me.

    To stop nighttime coughing, put Vicks Vapor Rub generously on the bottom of the feet at bedtime, then cover with socks. Even persistent, heavy, deep coughing will stop in about 5 minutes and stay stopped for many hours of relief. Works 100 percent of the time and is more effective in children than even very strong prescription cough medicines. In addition it is extremely soothing and comforting and they will sleep soundly.

    I agree with John but until you can go to the doctor take him into a closed bathroom and turn the shower on full hot to fill the room with steam. You can play with him on the floor or just sit and hold him while he breaths in the steam.

    Have you taken him to a doctor, lately? home remedies are okay, but a 6 month old baby needs to be seen by a pediatrician.

    I was born with bronchitis and still have it. its under control. see a doctor and leave the home remedies......at home.

    Feed him some raspberry jam. They use that in Eastern Europe and, quite surprisingly, it often works.

    You can also lay him across you knees and play the drums on his back to loosen up whatever is in his lungs. Also, DO NOT give him milk if you can help it. If you have to, water it down. Milk is bad for congestion. Has he had juice yet? If yes, then give him juice instead of milk.
