  • No. Obey is an archaic concept.
  • Not at all.
  • G'day Rockey, Thank you for your question. No. Women should think for themselves and make their own decisions. In relationships with men, they should be equal partners. Regards
  • Not in any lifetime of mine :)
  • YES THEY SHOULD! A WOMAN NEEDS TO KNOW HER PLACE....SHE SHOULD SERVE MAN HIS TV DINNERS AND DRY CLEAN HIS CLOTHES! GOD DAMN IT
  • No, why should they? We don't live in the stone ages anymore....
  • no. Just cause men used to be more powerful, that doesn't mean that they still are. I have a very high self esteem and i don't like to listen to other people boss me around. I always have to be Dominant of the pack. So i definitly say no.
  • Only if they choose to of their own free will. Otherwise, no.
  • Only if my life is in danger, and he is the only capable of saving me. Then I'll follow him to the letter.

  • An individual should 'obey' another individual in a few select situations. Of course bear in mind that to obey is to do as another person says simply because that person is saying to do something. Not based on any personal recognition of the command itself. As in when you are told to sit, to obey that command would imply you are sitting only because you were commanded to do so. Here are when you should obey a command. 1) When the commanding individual is known to have more experience in a situation than the person receiving the command. For example, a Doctor telling you how many mg of advil to take everyday for heart issues. 2) When the person receiving the command has submitted themselves to the leadership of the person giving the command. For example your Sergeant on the battlefield. 3) When the commanding person has some inherent or implied authority in the situation. Such as a police officer at the site of a crime. So the distinction of men commanding women, or women commanding men, is a ridiculous one. Gender should not play a role in determining if you are going to obey a command or not.
  • women should not obey men.it is sin.but if wife dont obey her husband than she will go in to hell.
  • THAT IS FULL OF CRAP!!! NO WAY... CHEERS
  • I think the question is misframed. Much has been made of man's patriarchal domination of women throughout recorded history. Yet, woman is also supposed to have been the civilizing influence upon man, providing the impetus to transition from being a hunter-gatherer society to an agrarian society. How could this happen, if woman was so dominated? I think the reality is much more prosaic. In the D/S community, it's an open secret that it's the subs who are in real control. Part of the attraction, I think, of being a sub is that you can pretend you have no responsibility; thus, freedom and responsibility are psychologically sundered. The same thing is observable in Western culture at large. Women, while seeming to hold no economic power, are well able to wield the real power in the home. A man's wife can make his life a living hell if he doesn't do what she wants; and this is no trivial thing. This is not to say that there haven't been abused women; and it is not to say that, historically, women have not had the opportunities in the marketplace that men have. These things are true. But this is a far cry from the crude representation of woman being crushed under man's boot that one sometimes gets after listening to women's power advocates. Women have been far from powerless in history. Man is born with fundamental weaknesses where women are concerned; and, while his physical strength may be greater, this is nothing against the biological and psychological imperatives which cripple him in any contest with a woman. This may be the reason patriarchy arose in the first place: fear of women's power. I say these things as a Goddess-worshipper and one who believes She is manifest in every woman. I believe both sexes have their gifts and their challenges. Since I am not a woman, I admit they may have comparable weaknesses toward men which are unknown to me. But woman is far from the helpless victim of man in Western history.
  • whould men obey women?
  • no, life is a series of compromises. Following, leading and walking side by side. Most men who say women should obey them don't even get the respect of their dog.
  • Well , only if that man is the boss where she works and gives her a paycheck every week ...
