Intuitive design. [correction]Based on BSD, which is similar to Linux. Will happily co-exist with Windows on the same computer. Designed to work with Mac hardware - therefore very reliable. Cheaper than Windows.
It's basically a UNIX box nowadays.

Not true: It's actually based on BSD. Linux LOOKS similar, but it is not derived from the unix branches.
