  • Take on some martial arts lessons
  • I find that sex is great fun and great exercise. It depends on how much time you have available and whether you can go outside during this time. Tai Chi is quite relaxing and good exercise, as is yoga. Rambling or hill-walking can also be fun if you have friends or acquaintances who will walk with you. Squash, badminton, tennis, etc, if you're not going to be too competitive about it. But my first answer stands. If you enjoy sex and you have a partner who is willing and open-minded then you can have great fun and drop the pounds off.
  • Dancing. Go out on the town or try a beginners dancing class, or just turn up the music and shake yr groove thing.

  • My favorite is basketball. I dropped 25 pounds when I started playing (6 years ago). I play 4x per week and never have to force myself to go to the gym -- its a joy. And my weight stays very close to 160 all the time no matter what I eat.
  • going to mall and shopping is exercise and its fun as long as you have money going sledding is exercise and its fun somtimes playing with little kids...can be some intense exercise if you have a dog, its sort of fun to try and catch it when it wont come back inside...i wouldn't intentionally throw a dog that will runaway outside just for exercise though...it might not come back useing a punching bag is fun, and its good exercise, but they are kinda expensive danceing to music is a fun way to exercise..but if you cant dance then lock your door to avoid anything embarressing going to theme parks are fun and you can get exercise going to the beach is fun and can be exercise if you find kickball, baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, or anything like that fun, then those would be good exercises running up and down stairs is a good exercise, but its only fun when your watching the person doing it because they just look stupid isntead of walking around the house, lay on the floor and use only your arms to try to move around i guess that could be exercise haha jumping on a bed is fun, as long as you dont break it trampolines are fun also and pogo sticks and rollar blades eh rollar skates are okay riding a bike could be fun...but just keep in mind that however far you get, you still have to ride all the way back. hmmm well im all out of ideas :
  • I like exercise that has some meaning. Something that isn't just exercise for the sake of it. Swimming, basketball, football, tennis, something like that.
  • Horse back riding is one of the best overall exercises you can do. I know it is hard to think of it being real exercise when the horse does must of the work, but for those of you have done it occasionally...isn't your whole body sore the next day? Mine is.

  • Flamenco dancing is brilliant - you don't have to be a great dancer to enjoy doing it, it's brilliant fun. I also went to a pole dancing workshop a while ago (with my mother no less!) which was hilarious although really hard work. Any kind of dancing, I think is good fun exercise. Doing any kind of exercise with company is good too - going jogging with a friend is much more enjoyable than going by yourself (unless they're really fit and leave you behind then point and laugh) Swimming I find really good for getting out stress at the end of a day but I imagine something like boxing might also be good for that - anything where you get to thrash around a bit and let off some steam. Yoga is quite relaxing and makes you feel good so it doesn't feel like exercise at all. And um - energetic sex maybe?
  • Sex. Riding motorbike very fast, or in the dirt. Riding jet-ski, or horse. Martial arts, dancing. Bicycle, walking, walk fast. Play with dog.
  • Well I play basketball a lot. Over the years I've tried and failed at many other things: running, buying machines and putting them in the back room, weightlifting, etc. I couldn't stick with any of them. I think basketball appeals for two reasons: it has a social aspect and the game has various mental and physical challenges that keep it interesting, so I hardly notice that I'm getting exercise at the same time. I used to be about 190 pounds. Then some years ago a gym opened up down the street from our house and I signed up and started playing basketball. I dropped 20 pounds in about 2 months, and have maintained that weight with fair ease for years now. Still about 5 pounds to go, but I've decided "that's good enough!" :)

  • I enjoy Turbo Jam with Chalene Johnson.
  • Martial arts. I do Tang Soo Do. In my adult classes, there are teens up to 70's. The classes are tough, really tough but you have the camaraderie of the other students and you know you aren't the only one in pain. I think jogging can be ok but I haven't had the motivation to do it lately. Stationary bicyling is as boring as it gets. Yuk. I walk my dog several times a day but can't when winter comes (too cold).

Sports: football, softball/baseball, basketball, etc.). 2. Skipping (take a walk and try to start skipping, every few yards). 3. Play fetch with your dog. 4. Play with your cat (with their favorite yarn, string, or toy). 5. Swimming (take a good swim and just have fun).

  • next time that you have a sudden burst of energy, put on some of your favorite music and dance like a nut to it. it gives me a hell of a workout from it lol
  • All exercise is fun if done right. Excuses people make are no time, no energy, no place to do it. Oh an even no money. This is all bogus. Get up 15 minutes early. Go for a walk. Get a ball an bounce on it while on the phone. Get a small trampoline and jump. The point is you'll have more time, because the exercise is giving you energy. So grit your teeth and get with it. Oh an exercise is more effective in lifting depression than any prescription. Can even run up and down the stars for five minutes. Do this twice a day. If you live in the country hit the trails. So now what's your excuse?
