  • First, you must be sure that the price you agreed on was not before taxes and other charges like that. if you agreed on 2000, when you factor in taxes, (and licence/title transfer/registration if they did that for you) then you could easily be near 2500 (alot more for a new car) If the price before taxes on the contract is higher than the agreed price as well, then I suggest finding a lawyer.
  • If you're saying the contract was altered after you signed it, then you have a fraud action. Presumably you got a copy of what you signed. If you're saying you signed something without reading and/or understanding it, you may be stuck, unless you can make a good case for a fraudulent intent on the part of the dealer.
  • First, read the contract's fine print. dealers will include any and all extra charges, they can legally charge. the fine print probably covers this and thus a different price other than originally signed. if you suspect fraud, contact an attorney. if you live in another state, other than florida, this action is going to cost you because you live out of state. attorney fees, long distance phone charges, traveling back to the dealer in florida, is all costly. believe me, the dealers know this and are hoping you will just pay the higher or altered price and forget it.
