I couldn't do it, but I bet forrest gump could. I mean, i know it's at least several days on the train with how that works. So, sounds like a life trek to me!

Yes, I think it would be possible. I would walk north from LA so I would go through Yosemite, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and finally New York. It would take about 6 months because I would do a lot of sight seeing.

I could. It would take about 6 months and I would walk from NY thru PA, OH to St Louis to Tulsa to Albuquerque to LA.

I have mapped out a route on Google Maps. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&um=1&q=chart&sa=N&tab=nl I would travel through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Find copies of the books, Walk Across America and the Walk West popular in the mid 1980's. It is the story of a man and later he and his wife as he walked across America. Interesting stories it was so sad though after all he and his wife had been through they divorced. He now or last I heard lives in Tennessee.

I would cross California into Navada, to Utah, Colorodo,Kansas,Missouri, Illinois,Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and then to New Jersey, leading me right into the city through the Holland Tunnel. Whew, I'm freakin' beat. It only took me 8 and one half years, haha:)I'm old:)
