  • Depending on how old your vehicle is, on my 5 speed manual tranny in my 91' ford explorer the back up lights switch is located on the tranny up by the shifting plate. It maybe hard to see you will need to crawl underneath of the car or truck to find the switch's wire connector that connects to the tranny located up on the left top-side of tranny, almost by the shifting plate. Inside the vehicle were your brake pedal is located can be another place to look. I am not sure for an automatic tranny. Lauras77
